We love a bit of competition at LAB99, but combat sports aren’t all about outdoing each other in the ring. Our boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes offer a fun but organised – and most importantly, effective – way to get fitter, healthier and stronger.
Boxing is a sport that demands a mix of intelligence, fitness and power, making it a great training activity for anyone looking to sharpen up both physically and mentally.
Brazilian jiu-jitsu might be a little less known in the mainstream, but just as enjoyable and beneficial. This floor-based martial art is focused on grappling and holding rather than striking.
Our team of qualified coaches have heaps of experience between them, and they use it to lead varied and engaging classes for people of all ages and experience levels. These sessions provide the perfect place for you to refine your techniques, get a sweat on and test your skills.
Each class lasts around 45-60 minutes and takes place in our state-of-the-art training room, which has been set up specifically for combat sports. Here you’ll find a matted floor, punching bags and our centrepiece: an 18ft boxing ring. We pride ourselves on making this space friendly and welcoming for everyone, from young beginners to more experienced adults and everyone in between.
For those who just want a little taste of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing or even kickboxing, we can incorporate any of these sports into a wider personal training plan that makes use of our more conventional gym equipment.
